"Proform's 730 Treadmill"

Proform's 730 model is nice if you don't carry too much body weight, you want a roomy treadmill, and you don't want to spend the money to get Proform's top of the line models.
But watch out! Proform places a 300 lb weight capacity on this model. If you're over 300 lbs, you'll definitely want to look elsewhere. But even if you're over 200 lbs like I am, you'll still want to be a little cautious. You don't want your treadmill breaking down a few years from now.
Let's compare the Proform 730 to the Pfoform 1800 . . .

The first difference surprisingly comes out in the 730s favor. The 730 is even more roomy than the 1800. It's 20" wide and the Proform 1800 is just 19" wide. Both are 55" long, so there's no compromise there either.

Second, proform 730 is just $899, and often comes with free shipping. The 1800 is $1,899, and costs another $125 for shipping.

Third, a disadvantage of the 730 is that it has only a 2 horse motor and goes 10mph with a 10% max incline -- as opposed to the 3 horse motor on the Proform 1800, which goes 12mph and has a 14% max incline.

Fourth, as I mentioned, a big disadvantage of the Proform 730 model is that it has a 300lb weight limit.

Fifth, the iFIT workouts aren't a standard feature, though they are an option, so you'll have to pay a little more to get that added motivation.

Most of the rest of the features look the same -- such as the water bottle holder, the EKG (TM) sensors, and the cooling fan.

Personally, the 300 lb weight limit is a deal-killer for me. It's not that I wouldn't be covered by their warranty. I would be easily. But I just don't want to worry that it's going to break. I'll be looking at other models (such as the 1200 or the 930i for my test runs)
